Museum Future in Lüneburg

The Museum Future - Museum Zukunft (Papenstraße 15, 21335 Lüneburg, Germany) is a meeting place where students and scientists, politicians, members of associations, societies, initiatives as well as neighbours and interested parties from the Lüneburg region meet (under the auspices of the Hamburger Umweltinstitut e.V.) to set up a research and development laboratory for innovative technologies for viable, long-lasting use.

The listed building at Papenstraße 15 was built in 1905 by the architect Franz Krüger for the city of Lüneburg as a preschool. In the meantime it was used as a primary school and then, until a few years ago, as a day nursery (afternoon care for school children) for the town of Lüneburg.

On Saturday, 13 April 2019, the Museum Future was presented to the public for the first time on an open day. You can find out more in this video: Open Day
